Gankutsuou the anime adaptaion of the count of monte christo. It has has one of
the most intriguing stories I've seen and you can sympathize with the main
character.
I strongly recommend Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu. You get action, love and it is
extremly funny.
Midori no hibi is good too, but I can't remember if there is much action.
12 Kingdoms is one of my favourite animes but it left too many open questions.
For example what happend to Taiki ...
This anime could have easily used about 70 episodes without getting boring.
